Nat Wheelwright on Maine Calling as Nature Moments Series Approaches End

Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Natural Sciences Emeritus Nathaniel T. Wheelwright was recently a featured guest on Maine Calling, Maine Public’s radio call-in program, discussing his video series, which is now approaching its end. 

The year-long series, filmed mostly in or near Wheelwright’s backyard in Brunswick, Maine, features short, two-minute videos, designed to encourage people to take more notice of the changing natural environment on their doorstep. The series was conceived as a companion to , by Wheelwright and Bernd Heinrich (Storey Publishing, 2017), which provides guidance and a systematic format for making natural history observations, with 100 percent of royalties going to conservation and environmental education.
