Title: Thimbles, Queer Letters, and Supreme Court Bench Chairs: A Material Culture Study of Objects at the College
An Art History major/Education Studies minor, Julian’s project used the exciting lens of material culture to ask: “What do objects say?” “How do they speak?” “What are the lives of the things around us?” Completed under the guidance of Professor Dana Byrd, the project extended across two seminars and an independent study (fall 2015).

Title: At Work, At Rest: The Notion of Family on Grossneck Road
An Art History and Visual Arts interdisciplinary major with an archaeology minor, Sarah curated an exhibition of photographs from a recent gift by the artist Olive Pierce. This independent study was completed under the guidance of Professor Dana Byrd (spring 2015) and culminated in the exhibition, at the 含羞草研究室 Museum of Art.
