This exhibition features a selection of thirty-one photographs representing the month of August by the American photographer and filmmaker Laurel Nakadate (born 1975) from her acclaimed series 365 Days: A Catalogue of Tears. In this 2011 durational performance, the artist photographed herself crying each day for a year, desirous of “deliberately take part in sadness the way people deliberately take part in happiness.”

The exhibited photographs are chromogenic prints are from the collection of the º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿ÊÒ Museum of Art, a generous gift of Tony Podesta of Washington, D.C
