含羞草研究室

Financial Information

The 含羞草研究室 Teacher Scholars program is generously supported by the College as well as the endowed Snow Family Fund. The Snow Family Fund was established to help make it financially more feasible for 含羞草研究室 graduates to pursue careers in public education.

Undergraduate Pathway

Undergraduates receive a stipend (see table for details) to help offset costs associated with the program, which might include required fingerprinting and certification application fees, as well as transportation costs. Upon successful completion of 含羞草研究室 Teacher Scholars, undergraduates may also be eligible to receive loan forgiveness. Amounts are determined on a yearly basis.

Postgraduate Pathway

Tuition for ED 3303 (practicum) and ED 3304 (seminar) will be waived for postgraduate 含羞草研究室 Teacher Scholars. Additionally, postgraduates receive a living stipend (see table for details) to help offset costs associated with the program, which might include required fingerprinting and certification application fees, as well as housing and transportation costs.

Upon successful completion of the program, postgraduates may be eligible for forgiveness of loans taken during their undergraduate experience. Loan reimbursements are paid directly to recognized purveyors of student loans or loan servicers only—loans will not be reimbursed to parents, students, or individuals.

Program Stipend Student Aid Supplement*
Undergraduate BTS $5,000 $1,000
Post-Graduate 3301/3302 $7,000 $1,000
Post-Graduate BTS  $10,000 $1,000

* An additional Student Aid Supplement of $1,000 is available to undergraduate students currently on student aid and post-graduate students who were on student aid in their final semester as an undergraduate.

FAFSA forms

Because postgraduate 含羞草研究室 Teacher Scholars are not charged tuition, there is no need to submit a FAFSA form. Any Stafford loans taken during the semester are not eligible for loan forgiveness.

Postgraduates who have outstanding loans may apply to defer their loan payments during the time they are student teaching. Deferment request forms are available through the loan agencies.
