Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (AHM) is an ancient and empirical system of medicine based on the concept of qi, which is usually translated as bio-electric energy. AHM treatments identify a pattern of energetic imbalance or blockage within a patient and redress that disharmony in a variety of ways. Patients are viewed from a holistic perspective, taking into account their physical, mental, and emotional health. Beyond the undergraduate degree, a Master's Degree must be earned in either Acupuncture or Herbal Medicine, which takes around 3-4 years. There are two kinds of medical school: allopathic (awarding the MD degree) and osteopathic (awarding the DO degree; see Osteopathic Medicine below). Both medical degrees are eligible to pursue the full range of medical specialties during residency.

Audiologists are licensed health-care professionals who provide patient-centered care in the prevention, identification, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of hearing, balance and other auditory disorders for people of all ages. Treatment services require audiologists to have knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, as well as interpersonal skills to counsel and guide patients and their family members through the rehabilitative process. Audiologists provide professional and personalized services to minimize the negative impact of these disorders, leading to improved outcomes and quality of life.

Speech-language pathologists (sometimes called speech therapists) assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients. Speech, language, and swallowing disorders result from a variety of causes. Speech-language pathologists typically need at least a master’s degree. Healthcare administrators and managers are professionals who plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise the delivery of healthcare. In addition to an undergraduate degree in healthcare management, a 2-year master's degree or 2-4 year doctorate's degree program can be pursued for further specialization.
