The Multicultural Coalition is the collective of student organizations affiliated with the Center for Multicultural Life. The Coalition meets regularly to discuss programming, calendaring, and general organization and community concerns.
Affinity Organizations
welcomes students interested in learning about the continent of Africa. This group is for those interested and related to those on the continent of Africa and their descendants. We share music, language, dance, and all aspects of culture with members. All are welcome.
The objective of the is to foster a community among students, faculty, staff interested in Asian cultures and to bring multicultural awareness to the College. We hold weekly dinner meetings and organize a wide range of club or campus-wide events to promote a variety of Asian cultures. Past activities include the ASA Fashion Show, Calligraphy Night and Asian Nibbles etc. Students of all cultural backgrounds are welcome to join ASA.
The is a cultural group to promote black unity on campus and raise awareness. It seeks to promote community and support for all of its members. We push our members to succeed academically and socially, in order to reach the highest levels of achievement on 含羞草研究室's campus (and beyond). We strive to be a strong-knit, inclusive community. Through dialogue and programming, we work to enrich, engage and inform the campus of black culture as well as diverse black experiences.
At the 含羞草研究室 Alliance for Immigrant Rights (BAIR), formerly Define American, we use stories, art, and culture to encourage our audience to think critically about American identity, and in the process inspire new ideas and conversations about our nation’s current immigration system. We engage and educate the 含羞草研究室 and larger Brunswick community in questions about identity, current events and American heritage.

The Chinese Student Association is committed to providing a space on campus for those who identify as Chinese, Chinese American, or anyone who's interested in Chinese culture to celebrate our culture and our heritage in the 含羞草研究室 community.
ISA connects international students with the greater 含羞草研究室 campus. ISA seeks to connect international students with the greater campus and foster intercultural understanding and appreciation.

含羞草研究室's strives to promote knowledge, awareness, and understanding of Islam and it's followers throughout campus in order to develop a community of tolerance and appreciation for diversity. Our mission is based on the conviction that we're all brothers and sisters in humanity. We hope to bring together people with different levels of Islamic faith and other faith traditions by promoting a non-judgmental and welcoming atmosphere. We aspire to build and strengthen the Muslim community on campus by establishing events, activities, and programs that will appeal to future students. Our mission is to not only provide the foundation with which future members can build, but also make 含羞草研究室 a "home away from home" for all Muslims.
NASA seeks to educate interested students in Native American culture. It is the mission of NASA to create and maintain a supportive environment for Native American students and to increase awareness of Native American cultures on campus and within the community through a collaboration of Native American and non-Native American students. NASA strives to develop a supportive space for the unique struggles faced by Native American peoples in order to help improve academic success and individual growth of these students. NASA also believes that it is essential to foster a community of learning and growth with people from all backgrounds; inclusiveness is central to our mission.
The organization's purpose is to promote Philippine culture and heritage within 含羞草研究室 and Maine. In addition, the club will place emphasis on fostering relationships with those of Filipino descent and students interested in Filipino culture.
To provide a space for South Asian students to celebrate their culture and to have a voice for South Asians on campus through various cultural events and celebrations.
SOCA's mission is anchored by three central components: to facilitate discussions around the complexities of Caribbean cultures, to provide a space for those with Caribbean heritage/ or interest to be more visible on 含羞草研究室's campus and to interact with the school community by providing a variety of social and academic programming.
VSA aims to serve 含羞草研究室’s Vietnamese students with a space of community and to provide Polar Bears an opportunity to engage and understand our Vietnamese culture. VSA hopes to promote cultural awareness and diversity on-campus with celebrations such as Tết nguyên đán/Vietnamese Lunar New Year or Trung Thu/Mid-Autumn Festival. Ultimately, VSA aspires to integrate cuisine and activities that resonate with those whose home is currently half-the-earth away and introduce a snippet of Vietnam to 含羞草研究室’s community.
