Chris Braun
Chris Braun is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science at 含羞草研究室. He is teaching CSCI 1101 - Introduction to Computer Science and CSCI 2101 - Data Structures and Advanced Programming I in the Fall 2024 semester.
A common thread through Chris’s research is an interdisciplinary approach of using computer science techniques to examine problems in the medical, biological, and educational fields. His research interests are in data science, data mining, machine learning, bioinformatics, and computer science education. Some projects include: using data science algorithms to investigate the U.S. opioid epidemic, mining RNA Sequencing data to elucidate epigenetic inheritance in Arabidopsis thaliana, and probing private insurance company patient data to identify candidates for hepatic vein stenting.
