Research Interests and Teaching

My research interests are in the field of observational high-energy astrophysics. I study supermassive black holes (active galactic nuclei; AGN) and their relativistic outflows of plasma called jets.

I also work on the multimessenger connection between IceCube astrophysical neutrinos and galaxies.

I'm also interested in physics and astronomy education and metacognition. My goal is to make learning as accessible as possible to everyone.
