Coleman Hall

Coleman Hall was built in 1958 and the most recent renovation was complete in 2006.

Coleman Hall was named after its benefactor, Jane Coleman Pickard, who, with her husband Frederick William Pickard, Class of 1894 and a member of the Governing Boards from 1923 until his death in 1952, had already given Pickard Field, Pickard Field House, Pickard Theater, and a chair in chemistry named for Mr. Pickard's father. Coleman Hall was built as a result of Mrs. Pickard’s gift following her husband’s death. More information about the history of Coleman Hall can be found in 

Coleman Hall is a four-story, brick residence that houses approximately 86 students in doubles, quads and quints. Each quad and quint comprises two bedrooms and a common room; doubles comprise a one bedroom and a common room. There are two bathrooms on each floor hallway. There is a common room on the first floor. There is a limited-use elevator to the second floor.

Coleman Hall is 574 feet from the Polar Bear Statue located in Hyde Plaza.

The College supplies the following items for each student:

  • Bookshelf 

Television

Television services are provided through and delivered through your laptop, mobile device, or Roku.

Computer Connections

All buildings on campus have high-speed wireless internet access and wired internet ports are located in each student room.

Parking

First-year students are not permitted to have vehicles on campus. 

Laundry

The laundry room is located in the basement and use of the machines is free. You can see what machines are open, get alerts sent to you when your laundry is finished, and report a problem with a machine at any time by visiting .

Safety

All college-owned student residences are equipped with sprinklers and alarmed for fire safety. 

Coleman Hall has a card access system. Residents of this residence hall have 24/7 access. All other students have access from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Bicycle Storage

There is no bicycle storage room at this location.

Staff

The ResLife student staff comprises seventy-eight upperclass students. Each floor has a proctor and an affiliate RA.
