Schedule a Class Visit
It is central to the teaching mission of the Museum of Art to support a broad spectrum of educational opportunities at º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿ÊÒ. By integrating the Museum's collection into your curriculum, students develop critical skills of visual literacy, object-based analysis and creative expression, tools that can be applied to nearly any field of study.
We work with classes from every department on campus, from Religion and Romance Languages, to Mathematics and Earth and Oceanographic Science. The Museum's encyclopedic permanent collection, rotating exhibitions and educational programming provide vast potential for synergies. We find that a direct engagement with original works of art enriches and challenges students' understanding of visual and material cultures, both past and present. These experiences can be especially useful for First Year Seminars in which students are encouraged to develop connections across academic disciplines.
To discuss how to integrate artworks into your curriculum or to bring your class to the Zuckert Seminar Room for a close looking session, please fill out our class visit instructor request form.
