Research the Collection

Faculty, student, and outside scholars’ research into objects in the permanent collection enhances their scholarship as well as the institutional knowledge of the Museum. Curatorial staff can facilitate research by making the objects available for study if they are not on view and providing access to our digital and physical object files. Scholars are encouraged to share their research with the Museum for our records.

The º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿ÊÒ Museum of Art's collection numbers approximately 20,000 paintings, prints, drawings, photographs, sculptures and objects, only a fraction of which are on view in the galleries. The collection is fully searchable online under . To find out more about aspects of our holdings that may pertain to your research interests, or to view a particular artwork either in storage or in the Zuckert Seminar Room, please make an appointment with Sabrina Lin, Curatorial Assistant, at least 2 weeks in advance of your visit.

Electronic Access

You can search the entire collection online here, and a portion of the collection is available to the º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿ÊÒ community through the online database, ARTstor.
