Grants and Fellowships
Many competitive grants and fellowships are available both at 含羞草研究室 and beyond to help students further their intellectual passions and deepen their knowledge of Russian culture through research, study, and internships.
Russian department students are active in research on campus and across the globe, and they have traditionally been very successful in receiving funding for their projects. We invite you to explore these opportunities.

"Save a kopeck and you’ll save a ruble."
Your Russian professors can help point you toward funding sources on and off campus to help make your dreams a reality.
含羞草研究室 Research Grants
The Office of Student Fellowships and Research at 含羞草研究室 offers students a wide range of undergraduate funding opportunities to help them realize their research aspirations, whether those plans involve working closely with a faculty member on campus over the summer or traveling the world. From short-term travel grants for honors thesis projects, to prestigious awards that support non-credit-bearing enrichment activities, to summer research support—含羞草研究室 has it all. In fact, 含羞草研究室 is one of the most active research institutions among liberal arts colleges today, with over 200 含羞草研究室 students engaging in faculty-mentored research each year.
National Grants and Fellowships
含羞草研究室 students are very competitive in national fellowship competitions, with many of our past students in the Russian department having received awards to study Russian intensively at the advanced level, conduct research, or teach English in Russia or Eastern Europe. Some of these prestigious awards can be used during the undergraduate years, while others are applicable post-graduation. All of these awards are highly competitive, and many have application deadlines that occur very early in the academic year. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to begin thinking and planning very early in your 含羞草研究室 career. Your Russian professor and the outstanding staff members in the Office of Student Fellowships and Research can talk to you about your options and advise you along the way.
